PADI Night Diver
Even your local dive site offers a entirely new adventure by moonlight! To take advantage of this extraordinary specialty, you will need to be at least a PADI Open Water Diver (or PADI Junior Open Water Diver) or equivalent and 12 years of age or older.
During your program you will go on three open water dives. You will learn to prepare night dive activities and develop your knowledge and techniques for night diving.
Some of the topics covered in PADI Night Diver Manual are:
Planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of night diving.
Proper procedures for buoyancy control, navigation and communication.
Use of dive lights and buddy system techniques.
Disorientation and emergency procedures.
Orientation to nocturnal aquatic life.
All PADI courses require our students to fill out the PADI Medical Statement.

Night Diver Specialty includes use of a Drysuit on all dives no extra cost.
Optional Wetsuit is $30.00 less for course $249.95.
Previous drysuit training is mandatory to use of a drysuit on the night diver course.
Required Equipment:
All equipment is included except:• mask,snorkel,fins boots and gloves (personal boots are not required if you choose the drysuit option)
• primary light
• back up light
• bottom timer (waterproof watch or dive computer)
Orientation
• Course runs in conjunction with Advanced Open Water Course.Knowledge Development
• Read PADI Night Diver Speciatly Manual and complete the knowledge reviews.• Knowledge reviews will be completed and submitted to the instructor prior to first night dive.
• Knowledge reviews will be taken up and discussed.
Ocean Dives
• Prior to first evening dive you will need to be fitted for any equipment required (At least two days prior).• Please make sure your person equipment is in working order (ie fresh batteries for your lights).
• Understanding meeting location and times (times may vary due to time of year).
• All rental equipment required from IDC needs to be picked at least 1.5 hours prior to meeting at dive site.
Learning Outcomes
By completion of the Night Diver Specialty Course:• Execute a descent at night with a reference.
• Demonstrate the proper use of a dive lights, SPGs, compass, timing device and depth gauge at night.
• Demonstrate proper communication techniques at night.
• Using a compass for navigation at night.
