Teaches the basics of snorkeling and Freediving techniques with mask, fins and snorkel for comfortable surface enjoyment of the aquatic world. Basic Freediving fundamentals are taught to help the snorkeler experience the oceans inhabitants first hand.
Is this course for you?
You've played around with a mask, fins and snorkel but are really unsure as to their proper use or are uncomfortable and feel awkward with surface snorkeling. If so then this is the course for you! If you have experience with Scuba, Freediving and/or spearfishing then you should look at the Intermediate Freediver course.

Basic Freediver covers the following:
• Safety and buddy procedures • Equipment for snorkeling and Freediving • Proper breathing for Freediving • Techniques for snorkeling and Freediving • Confined water & open water skill development
Format / Duration
• Basic Freediver is held over 2-days, 8-hrs / day • 2 classroom sessions • 2 pool sessions • 1 open water sessions
Prerequisites
• Swimming or snorkeling experience • Good health and fitness • 12 years of age with guardian permission
