The Wick-er Warmup towel, made by Discovery Trekking Outfitters of Vancouver Island British Columbia, is a special synthetic fabric that wicks water away as soon as it touches the skin.
The lightweight towel is made with Silver, an anti-microbial technology that kills bacteria. The towel will not develop a musty smell, no matter how often you use it. Yes, it still requires washing but not nearly as often as conventional towels. The Silver application is permanent and will not wash out.
The towel works by pulling water away from the body and distributing it across the surface of the fabric. Traditional towels (cotton) absorb moisture into the fiber, and take forever to dry.
The Discovery Trekking towel pulls moisture around the fibers rather than absorbing it, so it dries 4 times faster. They also boast very high SPF sun protection.
